Psychobuildings

Agent Gallery artist and friend Peter Labier has been a busy man lately. We used to talk on the phone frequently and catch up since he left Chicago for NY but it seems lately he and I have had our share of insane work loads to hack trough. Despite all of this good things are coming out of the madness. Peter will have a show here at AGC of recent paintings and has also released his new album available through All Hands Electric. Below is a recent interview that I find amusing because he found Chicago so harsh--come on Peter Chicago isn't that bad. Listen to his new release.

Cool Customers

Sometimes the day just gets interesting. I had a couple of customers walk in and look around. At first they were just walking about looking at items and then they looked at the odd fellows robes. Somehow they asked or were provoked to put these garments on. I was amazed how long I had these cool 1880's robes in the shop  (they tended to scare most folks), but not these two brave fellas. They put these on and were ready to party. Here is a couple of pics of what went down that Saturday. In the end they walked away with these amazing pieces.

New Painting

Not really--it just looks so good. Sometimes you just don't need an image.

Pocket Door Headboard

We have several cool pocket doors in stock. They make great headboards. Below is an example of what you can do with a set of them in your bedroom.

Weve got ideas

So as an example at the shop the other day I was showing 'L' how I critique things. I take images look at them, lay them side by side, flip them over and over, etc. I was all whipped up in critique mode and I was showing her that even though it may seem crazy it is an effective editing process. So in the midst of all of this I grabbed a bulb and was  putting it on everything in the store. It was funny and absurd and hit a high point when it landed on J.F.Ks head . So we quickly grabbed the drilled and made him into a lamp.

Introducing 'The Funnel'

These lights had a past as industrial funnels from a 1930's soap factory. Check back often at our lighting section for new interesting lighting designs.
