1915 Large Butterfly Lithograph

Many years ago I was amazed at the skill of large scale lithograph posters at the turn of the century. I think it started at a Lautrec exhibition and since then I have been looking for posters of this type. The Butterfly poster is amazingly rendered and has many complex color layers. Expertly done and dynamic imagery really make this an eye catching piece of art. Piece is well aged and shows signs of repair and stabilization long ago in the upper section. Poster is printed on heavy paper that has been mounted on linen and has old wooden dowels ready for hanging. We have others that we will be listing as soon as we document them. Measures: 50" x 57"
