1880's Train Station Desk

The train station desk is a smaller version than the larger ones we have seen. This is a nice compact version and it has even dark patination to the wood and alligator finish on the center part, and areas that were exposed to the light over the years. It has great millwork turning, drawers slide smoothly, compartments are intact and not broken, piece is level and not wobbly. Has nice natural wear, and a slight natural wood distress that happened years ago. Center writing area has two well aged brass finger pulls that slide the writing area out when in use.  Makes an excellent ocassional writting station and does not take up much space. Marked and numbered on the bottom-- Measures: 44" W x 22"D x 32" H
