1935 Man Ray Objects

I have had these objects for quite some time and have been asked by so many what these objects are. At first I thought they were some primitive lawn game or nautical device. The objects are so beautiful and have a nice hand sculpted look to them plus the metal shields add a very nice touch. I found these objects in Tacoma and the person that I purchased these from got them in France a long time ago.  Fellow AGC gallery artist (Christopher Ilth) remembered seeing them referenced in a Man Ray book and with a little research he managed to provide me the source where these objects are featured. Apparently Man Ray made a film in the mid 30's that was never released, but as you can see from the source material (Man Ray Self Portrait) these objects are documented appearing in his film--and were striking enough to be featured. This is all we need to know. Priced as a set of three--bases not included.
