1950 Atlas Firemans Life Saving Trampoline

This particular life saving trampoline dates from the early to mid 1950s.  It has a beautiful folk art feel to it in regards to the stitching of the red target dot.  This piece was manufactured by the Atlas Safety Equipment Co. Inc. in New York City.  The Atlas Safety Equipment Co. is still a leading manufacturer of fire & safety equipment, but this particular piece of equipment has long since been archived in the history of fire equipment.  

The trampoline is comprised of canvas, steel, leather, and rubber.  It's in excellent condition with a depth of 2" and a diameter of 10'.
