Yesterday at AGC Studio Chase (fella pictured below) and I fired up the MIG welder and began prototypes for our new lighting line. The idea was simple and based on a light we had in the past --the 'Hardcore American'. We liked the raw machinist style light that was practical and minimal. Parts that were used had a natural feel to it , yet versatile enough to work well at home with your well polished gear. Keep an eye out soon we will be posting new lighting very soon.

Back in 1999 I made a book of etchings with a sound track. I recorded the narration in one take and illustrated the book in one day. I had shown it to a few people and printed only four copies. Thanks to Sean Hernandez for animating the piece this fall. Now the voice of Veronika and the battle of the vagina-like creatures comes to life! Enjoy.

It was good to go into the Big Star the other day and have my fish taco. If you haven't been to this Chicago taco joint it sure serves up a pretty excellent selection of tacos. I usually hit it up when I am craving a fish taco and my friend JR loves the bourbon list. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they finally put up the Taco sign I sold them a while back--the fella closest to us in the photo found the 'S'. Team work!

My friend and I have been Rick Rolling each other for quite a while now. The art of Rick Rolling is to  post something on Facebook that seems appealing to my friend and then friggin' Rick Astley comes out in full force. Back in the day I remember he was grooving to this song (not sure if it was a joke or not) so this was the early inspiration. You can't constantly just Rick Roll all the time. You have to have strategy and timing. You have to have someone miss you for a while then your posting will be most enticing. I remember he and his girlfriend were really into cats since they recently got a cat. I used this to my advantage and posted this: (cat video) preceded by (angry cat)  among many other annoying posts. My friend has his own production company (Newmerica) and I was extra flattered that he took the time to make Agent Gallery a very cheezball third word production Rick Roll! I was recently reminded of Aaron Draplin while reading Michael Williams (ACL) post. I like this guy. He is straight forward and I have been showing my students clips of him talking about design, and simplicity. There are several good ones to see, but here is one that I find entertaining.
